Games Players

Apprentice

  • Must own the equipment for one game.
  • Must have played at a Revel or Guild event.

Journeyman

  • Must be able to play five games.
  • Must own or have access to the equipment for three games.
  • Must have taught someone how to play one game.
  • Must write a 500 word minimum article on games playing or a gaming related subject.

Master

  • Must be able to play ten games.
  • Must own or have access to the equipment for six games.
  • Must have taught someone how to play three games at Revels or Guild events.
  • Must have reached the second round in three gaming tournaments and have reached the final round in at least one of them.
  • Must organise and run a games tournament according to the guild rules & to the satisfaction of the Guild Master.

Games Crafters

Apprentice

  • Must make the necessary equipment to play a game.

Journeyman

  • Must make the necessary equipment for three games using at least two different construction techniques.
  • Must write a 500 word minimum article on games construction or a gaming related subject.

Master

  • Must make the necessary equipment for six games using at least three different construction techniques.
  • Must write a 500 word minimum article on games construction or a gaming related subject. Of the two articles required for Journeyman and Master, at least one must be on games construction.

Grand Master

  • Must attain the ranks of Master Games Player and Master Games Crafter.
  • Must write a 750 word minimum article on a gaming related subject.
  • Must win a games tournament involving at least eight players.

Note: Game means a medieval game. Only one completely dice-based game may be counted for advancement as a Games Crafter.

Junior Games Players

Any member of the society of any type or degree who has not yet attained their 15th birthday may elect to be either a junior or a senior member by their own decision. All achievements as a junior member of the guild shall be counted towards the senior requirements in due time.

Apprentice

  • Must have played at least once at a revel or guild event.

Journeyman

  • Must own or have access to the equipment for at least one game.
  • Must be able to play at least three games.

Master

  • Must be able to play at least six games.
  • Must own or have access to the equipment for at least three games.
  • Must have taught someone how to play at least one game at a revel or guild event.
  • Must have played in at least one Gaming Tournament.
  • Must have written a two hundred and fifty word article on a games playing or related subject.
